Rahima, KSA – Redland Warriors will try to make it better after a lengthy break in its schedule of a confrontation with Arabian Fal in the SACSO 2017 at the Rahima, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia tonight Thursday second game.
Warriors, which last played on September 25 (a 4-point win over Al-Hajry), will go on for another week of idleness after tonight game with Arabian Fal. Next to play is Al-Moallam on October 12, 2017, another unknown team for the Warriors.
In their last game against Al-Hajry, with less than a minute remaining (Warriors in 4-points lead 59 – 55) was called for a travelling violation, returning the ball to Al-Hajry which resulted a foul baiting missed shot. Al-Hajry sank the first throw and missed the second one. A technical foul was also called by the referee against Warriors for delaying the ball game that bring Al-Hajry closer 59-57.
With no time-outs at 12 seconds remaining, except for 20-seconds players time-out, Kenneth Aguirre inbound falls to the hand of Randy Fernando and immediately passed the ball to Paul Mico Peña for the uncontested winning point 61-57.
However, from tonight game onwards, Paul Mico will not be seen for the rest of the tournament because of his holidays in the Philippines. Coach Ronald Santos will make his way again with his superstars Randy Fernando and Clarence Bautista. Center Boyd Lota, who missed the first game, will be suited up on tonight’s match. Other players who are expected to be seen are Jerry Velasco, Rey Santos, Kenneth Toquirre, Lorenzo Villaceran, Mark Miano, Noel Gloria, Joel Bual, Michael Orno, and Kevin Montipalco.
Robert Cabiles, Bernie Taghoy and Andrei Zarate remains to miss as they are still busy on Yanbu – Gizan projects.
